As far as the quality of the optics, I would put it in the same group with the Sigma f/4-5.6 70-300mm that I previously owned for my Nikon D70. Like the Sigma, it is a bit on the heavy and bulky side but you can get some decent photos out of it and you can buy these for cheap so that's the trade off. This lens has made me realize that having the "Sears" name on the box does not mean its a bad lens and I have now made it my policy to look at any Sears lenses that I run across because they tend to be quite a bargain. BTW, I have found the same to be true of JC Penny marked lenses, pretty decent too. |
