I purchased this as a great storage bench for my son's toys and a neat little book shelf until he is old enough to be able to use the seat. It has a fun jingle toy on each side and though he seemed a bit frightened of the loud noise, I am sure he will warm up to it soon. He is only 7 months old and since we have limited space I decided to get a neat little bench as a bookshelf for all the books he is getting lately and later on they can go into the storage compartment or I can put up a shelf. Either way it is serving a purpose now as it will when he is old enough to truly appreciate it. The only reason it did not receive 5 stars is because it came with a wood glue that has a warning on it, it states it is banned in California due to a possibility that it may cause birth defects and reproductive issues. This obviously made me quite uncomfortable, so I had my husband use one we had at home that was deemed safer to use as it is "natural".

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my 9 month old grandson. It is a perfect height for him, and he loves walking over to it and turning the bell cages. It is also safe, as the lid does not shut quickly. Very colorful, even being in my daughter's living room. (Does not look cheap or out of place.) The only problem was when my son-in-law put it together, as the arm rests have to be put on "backwards," otherwise the lid won't open and close properly. Knowing that, I would recommend it to others.

My son loves this toy chest. Assembly was a breeze. Pieces were all there, protected well, no scratches or anything like that. He loves sitting on it and he loves putting his toys in and out of it. It's sturdy, no concerns there. While inexpensive compared to others, it doesn't come off "cheap" at all. Looks great in our toy room.
